The Role
Position Overview:
  • We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on role that requires active participation in all phases of the project, from buyout to close-out.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety First:
    • Uphold MGC project safety standards at all times.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage projects from pre-bid through to final completion.
    • Support the Project Superintendent with day-to-day project needs.
  • Scheduling & Coordination:
    • Collaborate with the Superintendent and subcontractors to track and maintain progress schedule.
    • Attend and lead owner coordination, subcontractor, and internal team meetings.
    • Conduct thorough buyout scope review meetings.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Foster and manage relationships with Owners, Clients, and the A/E (Architect/Engineer) team.
    • Distribute all change events to relevant project stakeholders promptly.
  • Document Control & Processing:
    • Organize, distribute, file, and track project documents.
    • Track and process all change orders efficiently.
    • Receive, log, and review inspections, observation reports, and test results.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Review and approve payment applications for subcontractors and owners.
    • Create and manage project budgets and Schedules of Values (SOVs).
    • Process accurate pay applications and submit them by the 10th of each month.
  • Close-Out Process:
    • Prepare and submit project close-out submittals, warranties, and other required documents.
    • Process and track all closeout documentation in a timely manner.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead the project team and provide mentorship to Assistant Project Managers.
    • Work alongside the Estimating team pre- and post bid through project handoff.
  • Contract Management:
    • Negotiate detailed, comprehensive subcontracts.
    • Manage submittal, procurement, and buyout processes efficiently
