Meet the people who build our story–
Felix Perez
Warranty Coordinator

Felix thrives in construction for the balance it offers between hands-on work and the mental challenges it brings. His favorite part of the job is solving potential issues before they become real problems, and his expertise was fully tested on the ESD7 project, which stood out for its unique challenges. Felix’s advice for those starting out: "Trust but verify!"—a principle he follows to ensure accurate, reliable results in everything he does. When facing tough projects, his mindset is simple: "Someone will solve this puzzle, so it might as well be me."

Brock Barnett
Office Administrator

With construction deeply rooted in his family, Brock found his calling in an industry that offers both stability and exciting challenges. Inspired by his grandfather, who worked for a general contractor for 30 years, and his mom, who built spec homes, Brock grew up seeing the rewards of hard work in construction. At Marksmen, his favorite part of the job is the people, describing his coworkers as not only fun to be around but always ready to support one another both professionally and personally. His advice to newcomers is simple but powerful: don’t be afraid to ask questions. Whether it’s a “silly” question or a tough one, curiosity and learning from others are key to growth in the field.

Erika Allen
Marketing & Business Development Coordinator

Erika didn’t initially plan to enter the construction industry. While pursuing a Biomedical Sciences degree in college, she shifted to Marketing after learning about the AEC sector. With a master’s in marketing, she worked at an agency before transitioning to construction through networking. What she loves most about her job at Marksmen is the variety—one day she’s crafting proposals, the next she’s in the "arts and crafts room" assembling materials, and the next, she's on a jobsite, fascinated by the progress of the projects and the team’s work. Erika’s advice to anyone starting out in construction is to embrace the diversity of opportunities available and to not let the male-dominated nature of the field discourage them. The supportive and encouraging culture in the industry is one of its best features.
